Counsellor (Salaried)
Permanent Part-time (.8 FTE/4 days per week – 30 hours)

Shalom Counselling Services is a not-for-profit community counselling agency that has been providing counselling services in Waterloo Region since 1983.

This position is part of a counselling team of therapists who provide counselling services and consultation in the context of a diverse and multi-faith community. As a spiritually integrated counselling agency we honour and respect the diversity of persons, backgrounds and beliefs within our community.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A minimum of a master’s degree (MSW or equivalency)
- Accreditation with a recognized credentialing and regulatory body such as the Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
- A complementary fit with the mission and vision of Shalom Counselling
- Advanced clinical skills complemented by broad clinical experience—competence in individual, couple, family, and group counselling with clients from age 16 years to adult (5+ years experience preferred)
Employment Conditions:
The successful candidate will be offered a permanent position with the agency.
Compensation is based on the agency salary grid ($42,960 to $53,694 depending on experience) at .8 FTE status. This position starts with 3 weeks vacation.
